The suit arrived very fast all the way from China to Canada in just a few weeks. He was packed very well and arrived safely to his new home, he even came with care instructions, a brush, and some extra padding for inside of the head.
The handpaws are adorable, comfortable, and even have a squeaker in the paw pads. I was a bit worried about how’d they’d fit since I’m a sort of bigger guy and I know Chinese suits tend to run small, but there’s no issues at all. There’s plenty of room without them being too big. The tail is well constructed with secure feeling belt loops and very soft fur. It did come with a belt to use but it was very small so make sure you have your own just in case.
As for the head itself, he looks awesome. The fur feels high quality and soft, and the base of the head feels like a sturdy hard plastic. It’s not as hot as a traditional foam base which is nice and ventilation isn’t bad at all, however the inside does get pretty damp with condensation due to the plastic so the inside needs to be wiped down after every wear. Since his eyes are smaller the visibility is low, but absolutely not terrible at all! Once I got the extra foam padding in the head in a way that’s comfortable the fit was great, no problems at all. The only issue is it’s pretty tight around the neck hole so getting it on is a bit of a hassle, and due to the base being plastic it’s not very forgiving so I worry about wear and tear to that area over time, I may have to in the future take the fur off that area and cut down the plastic. This shouldn’t be much of an issue for smaller individuals though. There are some small spots around the mouth where there is hot glue visible, it also seems the maker used white thread while sewing which is also semi visible in some spots like around the mouth or some areas of the hair, but those are extremely small fixes I don’t mind doing at all.
Overall a wonderful suit from wonderful people. Doki doki provided many updates during the shipping process, and even a photo of my suit before being packed up and shipped to me. They were great to purchase from and work with. For the price of 1,400 Canadian dollars (including shipping) I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
